November 2007
It’s my last day at work in this office. I get off in an hour, and then it’s back to being an unemployed schlub for a while!
At least I [probably] have this to look forward to: My next job will be in Los Angeles, California. Yeah!

Every day I walk by the same orange Camaro in one of the parking lots at school and it usually has a ticket under the wiper. You’d think by now the owner would just buy a parking pass since the cost of that probably equals all of those tickets.
Sitting near the stairwell on the fourth floor of a building is funny because I get to listen to everyone breathing really hard when they enter the main part of the floor. I don’t know why that’s funny.
I’m still murder-free.
Wow. I totally almost hit a pedestrian just now. Wow.

More Technology Gripes
Somehow the audio in OS X mysteriously resets itself to panned right or left at totally random times. I always have to go into the system preferences and reset it to the center. Why does it do that?
Again, I cannot fully express my hatred for Macromedia Director. I worked on this project a little bit over the weekend on an Apple version of Director, saved it, and opened it on the Windows version at the school lab and random parts are missing or out of place. For instance, the .mov file I imported and put into the project worked just fine on the Apple version but it doesn’t even show up...
Well, the peace and quiet of my apartment is over.
In addition to Tumblr being weird for me and not receiving my text or multimedia messages, and the internet not working when I was home (thus giving me nothing to do for a few hours), my phone just alerted me of a voicemail that I got on November 16.
Technology sure is failing me a lot lately.
It’s disappointing to find out that sending text and multimedia messages to your Tumblr isn’t working anymore. All these brilliant thoughts I’ve had are still stuck in my phone.
I think I’m going to go back to Mt. Pleasant on Saturday afternoon because I just sit here and feel my brain go numb.
Being at home means being allergic to cats. Being allergic to cats means I take allergy pills so I can breathe. And that means I get really, really tired.
Sault Ste. Marie: Gettin' Beat Up
I was walking home from the bars with my friend Ian and these guys up ahead of us were pounding on this random truck. I yelled, “Hey, that’s my truck!” Then the guy turned around and yelled back something like, “What are you going to do about it?” and I replied, “Hey man, ha ha, I’m just joking around.” and then he got mad. He kept yelling but I then...
Re: Work...
So two things about my job: 1) The past two weeks I have been very busy, and it is soooo nice to have allot of stuff to do. It really beats just sitting around in my office waiting for something to do. 2) My boss took me to lunch yesterday and basically said, they like my work and don’t want me to leave. So they offered me a full time salary position! I’m not sure what to do, its for...
DavidSegerAOK: In a blink of an eye you'll live in fucking LOS ANGELES.
You know how I hate getting oil changes? You probably don’t. Well, I hate getting oil changes because every time I go, I always seem to spend more money during the visit than the cost of the oil change itself. Does that mean I’m a sucker? Is the quick lube place preying on my fears of having a broken car?
Today I went in with my coupon for a free oil change. I was expecting to pay...

A film about the explosion of punk rock in the 90s. This could be pretty cool.
The Wooden Sky →
I discovered this band yesterday. They’re rocky, folky, and from Toronto. I suggest the song “North Dakota” because that’s the one that hooked me.
Important phone calls make me nervous.
A Wilhelm Scream will be playing Mac’s Bar in Lansing two days after the date I set to pack up all my stuff, turn in my apartment key, and move home.
I am truly heartbroken that I’m going to miss it.
The rear passenger side window of my car only rolls down when the temperature is low. When it’s warm it just doesn’t work.
If I Had a Stand-Up Act, This Might Be a Joke:
I don’t really like it when people say, “I love life” because what do they have to compare it to? Nothing. It’s not like saying, “I love shitting”, because I don’t know about you, but I definitely love shitting compared to not shitting when I really have to. Trust me, I’ve seen both sides, and one of them is far more uncomfortable than the other.

The Pleasure of Rentals.
Oh, also: Subleasing an apartment in Mt. Pleasant is a pain in the ass. The apartment scene operates like no where else — I swear. It should be simple like this:
I find a person to take over my lease.
We sign some sort of document with the landlord.
He pays the landlord, or in this case, I pay the landlord what’s owed on the lease, and he pays me because I’m giving him a deal...
Working on the sidelines of a sports event actually makes said sports event kind of interesting.
Oh well, back to not really caring about sports!
Usually when I exercise, which is quite an unusual event itself, I listen to music on my iPod, but I want to try listening to a comedy album instead to see what kind of reaction people have to a guy who’s running and laughing at the same time.
Countdowns
When we have no other ideas, we count down.
After this evening is up, I’ll have thirty days until I finally have a degree. Then I’ll have a few days to move home, and then it’s another countdown to the big move.
On my way out there, I should stop in Aurora, CO to see if I can find the house I lived in when I was two years old, just to see if my fleeting memories of it match...

More mugger stuff, just for fun.
Juggling
I’ve been pretty scatterbrained the last few days.
I’m pretty happy how this turned out, but I’m not very happy with how Vimeo converted it to Flash video. It doesn’t look nearly as good as the file I uploaded.
It bothers me when people put up the default AIM away message, “I’m away from my computer right now.”
Not only are you probably still there, but you’re also an asshole.
