photo mattbraunger: So, I know it’s not GPOYW or anything, but here’s the cover for my new (and first ever) album coming out July 14th. I recorded it at the Hollywood Improv and I’m really proud of how it came out. There, I said it. Steve Agee took the cover photo and Jesse Lee Stout designed it (the logo, etc). Basically, when I decided on calling it “Soak Up the Night” (named after a bit I do) I realized it sounded like the title of a cheesy 80s rock album. So that’s the theme we went with. So far it makes me laugh every time I look at it, especially because I would never take myself as seriously as I look like I am.
