Pros: Incredible selection of beers on tap (I’d estimate close to 50, no joke)
Cons: Pretty much everything else.
Being a pretty serious beer enthusiast, I feel in love the moment I walked in and saw all the taps. Despite the fact that they had me the moment I walked in, I’m not sure I ever want to come back here. This is why:
First of all, girls behind the bar were hired probably for their looks. I say this because they sure as hell weren’t hired for their congeniality, speed of service or knowledge of beer. Not only were they pretty rude and unfriendly, they were extremely slow and didn’t really know anything about the beers other than, “well that one’s darker, so if you like dark beers you might like that one.” Uh, thanks, I realize that because it says on the menu that it’s a STOUT. There’s no excuse for the slowness either, it’s not like they were rushing to get everyone’s orders. There was a lot of standing around and talking to each other mixed in with ignoring the customers.
Even the bouncer was an asshole for no reason!
I know you’re one of the few places in Los Angeles with a serious beer selection, but that doesn’t allow your establishment to treat your patrons like crap.
I’d love to come back, but I as much as I love beer (the only place in Los Angeles with a sour on tap!!!), I don’t love it enough to put up with such offensive service.
